Abstract
In this paper, the defects of the current airfoil parameterization methods are analyzed, and a method using particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to solve the Bernstein coefficients in the CST method is proposed. Then, the NACA0012 airfoil and RAE2822 airfoil are modeled by CST method, and the Bernstein coefficients are converted into design variables in THE PSO optimization algorithm for solving. The influences of Bernstein coefficients of different orders on the airfoil generation accuracy are compared, and the optimal Bernstein coefficients are finally solved.
