Abstract
Vessel head is an important part of the pressure parts in special equipment and its quality directly determines whether the pressure vessel can be reliably used. In this paper, the process of the standard elliptical vessel head is based on the metal shaping theory. Firstly, the process of EHA (based on the inner diameter) head is analyzed, the shaping of programs, drawing processes and tooling parameters are determined. Secondly, the finite element numerical method is used to simulate the process of stamping sheet to gain a comprehensive understanding of sheet metal forming. The forming quality is analyzed and evaluated by forming limit diagram, cloud thickness variation and spring back deformation maps. By changing the parameters of three stamping process, the impacts on shaping the results are discussed. The best molding solution is determined, which provides theoretical support for practical processing.
