Abstract
To simulate the durability of iron tailings asphalt mixture under high temperature and rainy environment, Hamburg wheel tracking test is used to examine the impact of different asphalt mixture types, iron tailings content, asphalt content, and lime content on the durability of iron tailings asphalt mixture in a hot and wet climate. The results show that the type of mixture, the number of iron tailings, amount of asphalt, and the amount of lime have significant effects on the loading times, wheel rut depth and total deformation rate(Dr) of the iron tailings asphalt mixture, and the amount of iron tailings have a significant impact on durability. The most significant impact on performance occurs when the amount of iron tailings exceeds 15% and the amount of lime is less than 1.5 percent; the mixture's durability is significantly reduced; it is recommended that the iron tailings asphalt mixture be designed for durability in harsh environments Inspection.
