Abstract
In order to obtain a wide "field of vision", ATC radar stations are often located in areas with frequent strong winds in mountains and islands, and may be attacked by extreme weather such as typhoons. In order to ensure all-weather startup of the radar station, extreme wind speed conditions shall be properly considered in the structural design of lightning rod of ATC radar station. Taking the lightning rod of an Island air traffic control radar station as an example, taking the wind speed of 80m / s as the check condition, a single steel pipe independent lightning rod with annular section is designed. The wind load value under extreme wind speed is calculated systematically. Considering the bearing capacity limit state condition and normal use limit condition, the detailed structural calculation of lightning rod support and connector is carried out. The calculation results show that the structural strength and deformation of lightning rod can meet the requirements of the code.
