Abstract
In order to improve the carrying capacity of the whole channel system, avoid the idle waste of channel resources, and reduce the impact on the whole channel system when the channel is blocked, a cellular automata model of one-way variable channel ship traffic flow is established on the basis of NaSch model. By simulating the traffic flow of vessels in normal and blocked conditions, the relationship between vessel flow, average speed and vessel arrival rate is obtained when vessels in auxiliary channel are allowed to change lanes. The results show that the model can be applied to the decision simulation to improve the channel capacity and reduce the ship detention in the case of congestion.
