Abstract
To investigate the penetration and the spreading of diesel injection jet in a combustion chamber the high speed cinematograhy is particularly qualified. Because the velocity of the jet is very fast and the growing droplets are very small, highest time resolution and optical resolution are necassary. Therefore a test set up with a special rotating mirror camera was developed. With this arangement new knowledge on penetration and spreading of an injection jet was obtained.
