Abstract
In the present paper, we have indicated some useful applications of polarisation properties of light in the field of imagery, image processing and temporal filtering. The imaging characteristics of a perfect lens masked by a retarder is briefly discussed. The use of a Babinet compensator as a spatial frequency filter is also indicated. Finally, the temporal filtering characteristics of a cascaded system of retarders and rotators have been discussed.
