We explore the differences between gap surface plasmon (GSP) and Fabry-Perot resonances for use in dynamic optical metasurfaces enabled by combining plasmonic nanostructures with piezoelectric micro-electro-mechanical mirrors. This work builds upon research presented in [1] where the dynamic metasurface platform was demonstrated using GSPs. By extending the working range into the Fabry-Perot regime it is possible to design dynamic metasurfaces with new functionalities in addition to combining the two domains.
